How long have you worked at Indoor City?
7+ Years
How would you describe your personal design aesthetic?
My home is very eclectic, leaning toward a casual feeling using deep color tones and natural elements such as stone & wood with unique character. Working with clients, I try to help them develop a space that reflects their personality using basic design principles.
What was one of your favorite projects that you worked on during your time at Indoor City?
Tile & stone are my favorite material choices. In one of my more recent jobs, the master shower was encompassed floor to ceiling in a "cottagey" wood look plank tile featuring a soaking tub in the center. There was another master bath where we used a beautiful soft colored marble complete with stone baseboards and decorative moldings. A perfect place to de-stress.
What made you want to be a designer?
I grew up surrounded by creative people. My mother was an artist. Working with a very limited budget, she and my dad filled our home with items they would pick up at the "junk" stores turning them into lamps or other unusual decorations. They were way ahead of their time. When I was younger I sketched and was constantly redoing my room. I started college as a math major and hated it. I had to beg my father to let me pursue Interior Design. He finally caved. I couldn't imagine being a math teacher...
Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I'm a nature nerd from South Jersey who loves to garden and hang out in the fresh air (I've never seen the Jersey Devil even after living there for several years in the Pine Barrens, thank goodness.)
