Four tips for the cleanest tile flooring
When taken care of, ceramic or porcelain tile can last up to 50 years. Keeping tile clean is pretty straightforward.
Dirt and grime sit at the top, so it's easy to see. Usually, all it takes to get rid of the grime is warm water, soap, and a mop or rag.
Different tiles, such as terracotta bricks and stone, have additional requirements. Read on to learn more.
How often?
Floor tile should be dry-mopped or vacuumed at least twice a week. Get into corners and, if possible, under appliances where dirt and grime "hide."
Wet mopping should occur once a week for the bath, every other week for the kitchen, and every 2 or 3 months for grout. You may decide to adjust that depending on your circumstances.
About wet mopping
Almost any cleaner is fine, whether dish soap, white vinegar, or all-purpose. Best to use a chamois mop or rag and change the water frequently.

1.Avoid any acidic, including vinegar, with slate and marble.
2.Use a soft, bristled broom to avoid scratching.
3.Granite is cleaned with a PH-neutral cleaner to prevent discoloration.
