In: Design - Crema the Crop! | Bathroom Remodel
Client:Michael McGowanDesigner:Megan ZaunThis project was a bathroom remodel, with the inspiration to make more appeal to the master area, to sell in the near future. The customer, Michael McGowan, wanted the remodel done quickly with a given 1-2 week time span. We were able to meet those accommodations but only after choosing materials with a short lead time and granite that would be readily available at our yard. The shower, which was an existing fiberglass
surround, had to be torn out and beautiful tile work needed to be done. Together with Mr. McGowan we chose a Crema Marfil-looking porcelain for the top section with an accent of metal liners and a chocolate brown glass mosaic.
The bottom portion to the floor is three feet of a Emperador mocha hexagon mosaic. The shower floor was even a detailed design in which we used 3x6 Emperador tile mocha to frame the floor, which was mitered in the corners and filled with the Crema Marfil hexagon. The tub surround coordinated with the Crema Marfil 13x13 tile, topped with a bullnose to finish. Crema Marfil 13x13's laid straight, made up the bathroom floor. This particular bathroom had 2 vanities which were both topped with Giallo Ornamental, fabricated by our granite yard.
